Walk into this place off the main strip, and you’ll see families gathered at large tables and regulars who’ve been ordering the chicken and waffles here since it first opened. The menu is extensive and has everything you’d expect from a comfort-food joint, including their famous (and genuinely fresh) Cucumber Salad.
The covered patio area where dogs are welcome adds to the welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere where meals arrive promptly even during the busy weekend rush.

Coral Springs didn’t have much in the way of celebratory burger spots. And that was a shame for us. Then BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse arrived, serving hearty American classics in a bustling, welcoming atmosphere. Our favorite pick is the The Big CharBurger with its juicy patty, fresh toppings, and satisfying heft. Order one of those and pair it with a cold brew from their bar. That’s called a perfect casual evening out.

There’s usually a wait—a lengthy one, reminiscent of queuing for the last boat at the old fishing town dock—so be prepared.
Especially on busy nights. The low lighting and fresh seafood smell add to the nostalgic pub atmosphere, though the carpet shows its age. Despite the occasional delay, the patient staff works hard to ensure a pleasant stay, and the food’s taste and quality remain superb.

Coral Springs Diner is one of the first places we send people for breakfast and diner classics in Coral Springs. Almost everything at this welcoming, veteran-friendly spot is done right—from the coffee and iced tea that appear on every table, to the French toast used for their popular 222 breakfast. And while you might find Taylor ham sandwiches and gyros on lots of menus in Florida, Coral Springs Diner does the basics better than almost anyone else.
