Burger joints in Prescott Valley typically fall into two camps: tourist traps with gimmicky toppings, or dreary drive-thrus where you eat in your car. These spots are rarely destinations we’d seek out, but these ten establishments are glorious exceptions.
IHOP

IHOP is a breakfast spot known for its classic American diner fare, but there are no fancy brunch items on the menu. There are, however, really good pancakes, served in generous stacks that pair perfectly with Oreos and milkshakes. Also, breakfast burritos and griddle combos. Breakfast is our favorite thing to get here, but the eggs, bacon, and toast are both just serviceable. We just wouldn’t choose them over other savory dishes in the market.
Jack in the Box

Jack in the Box is a popular spot for burgers in Prescott Valley. When you visit their location, stick to signature items: Basically, if it’s a burger and it’s fresh, you’re going to like it. The burgers are hot and wonderfully satisfying, and the crispy fries are a good alternative.
Jack in the Box also makes great mystery meat tacos, their signature offering is like fast food in the best possible way, and the overall meal has the potential to deliver satisfaction when everything comes together right.
Burger King

Every time we head to Burger King, we end up getting a flame-broiled impossible burger. They’re made to order, so they’re always perfectly juicy, and they come with classic toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles. The burger is substantial enough to satisfy, but unless you’re getting fries and a drink, you might want to add a side. It’s served quickly by the friendly staff, and we recommend checking your order at the drive-thru window.
Dad’s Backyard Grill

Dad’s Backyard Grill’s burger offerings are a little hit or miss, but the jalapeño poppers with bacon jelly are an unquestionable hit. In fact, they’re one of the best bites in the entire restaurant. Crispy jalapeños are filled with creamy cheese and topped with that sweet-spicy bacon jelly. The flavors are intense, in a good way.
Just don’t let yourself be sidetracked by things like the fish and chips, which are divine, or the various burgers with round bacon—those are satisfying, but the poppers steal the show. The welcoming backyard atmosphere with turf floors and picnic tables makes it a great kid-friendly spot, though some might find the seating a bit uncomfortable. At around $14–$18 for burgers and $8–$12 for sides, it’s pricier than some competitors, but the quality and playful vibe make it worth revisiting.
Carl’s Jr.

A great burger joint is a cornerstone of any thriving fast-food strip, and we’re pleased that Carl’s Jr. holds down this spot. If you’re craving a classic cheeseburger or a reliable chicken sandwich, they have those, but the signature burgers are the real highlight.
The menu stays consistent, but you can count on finding satisfyingly hearty options, like the Meatless Famous Star stacked with fresh veggies and savory patty, or the surprisingly tasty Meatless El Diablo, with spicy sauce, crisp lettuce, and melted cheese. The food always arrives fresh and hot, served by cheery staff like Angelica and Christina, who genuinely go the extra mile.
The warm, comfortable dining room, with music at just the right volume, makes it a pleasant stop, though the parking lot could use some sprucing up. For a clean, prompt burger fix in Prescott Valley, Carl’s Jr. delivers.
Five Guys

When you are in the mood to eat a bunch of burgers, Five Guys makes great American ones, served with those famous fries that are hot and crispy. We’ve yet to try one we don’t love, but our favorites are the cheeseburgers, because we’re always looking for a juicy patty, and the bacon burgers, because any burger with both cheese and bacon is going to be good. Grab a burger to go, or sit at the counter and get a milkshake and some fries after work—or on your lunch break. We’re not here to judge.
BackBurner Family Restaurant

Maybe it’s the cozy atmosphere, but we love getting cinnamon rolls at BackBurner Family Restaurant. They’re baked fresh daily, and you can choose from three different options: classic, with extra icing, or with nuts. We’ve tried them all, and the classic is our favorite. If you want to mix things up, you can also add a bunch of other breakfast items to your order, like Eggs Benedict, pancakes, and bacon.
Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

This Prescott Valley classic has been serving the community for years, and their Grill & Chill location offers more or less the same menu: a selection of Dairy Queen’s classic burgers, hot dogs, and Blizzard treats. During lunch on a weekday, you’ll see families scattered around the dining area enjoying hot fudge sundaes and soft-serve cones. If we lived in the neighborhood, we’d count ourselves among them.
You can’t really go wrong with anything here, but you also shouldn’t go out of your way for it. There are more exciting things to eat.
Culver’s

You might find yourself at Culver’s with a tray full of food and think, a butter burger would make this so much better. Fortunately, the restaurant has those here, and just as at their other locations, the focus is on fast, friendly service. You can’t take your meal outside to the patio, but you can watch the busy Prescott Valley scene through the large windows while you enjoy your fries.
The Burger Den

Plot twist: this burger joint The Burger Den is just as good as the top-rated spots in Prescott Valley. The menu here is straightforward with classic beef burgers, cooked perfectly every time. We love the juicy burger with all the fixings, as fresh as they come, but any of their quality options make a perfect alternative to the usual fast-food fare. Come here when you need a satisfying meal. Or grab dinner on your way home and make everyone in your household thank you for the delicious choice.
