Shake Shack Southlake is a burger joint in Southlake, and it’s about as ‘decent’ as you’d expect for that type of spot. It’s clean and straightforward, with some tables and a few counter seats. They also do some classic fast-food items that you’ll find listed on the menu board. Expect stuff like the standout ShackBurger, a hotdog perfect for a quick bite, and some standard fries and shakes.
And if you recently ran out of time before heading to the airport, you can grab those things here—they keep it fast.
Sonic Drive-In

Folks in Southlake know that Sonic Drive-In is the best burger spot in town, and that’s why there’s usually a line of cars wrapped around the drive-thru every afternoon. Order at the speaker and enjoy your meal in your car, since that’s the classic drive-in experience. They serve a variety of drinks, and the menu of burgers and sides stays pretty consistent, with a few seasonal specials.
Their onion rings are always excellent, and we love the Garlic Butter Bacon Burger, which comes with crispy bacon and garlic butter sauce, is one of our favorites. The eclipse slush float is amazing too, but it’s only available for a limited time, so grab it while you can.
Duff’s Famous Wings

Duff’s Famous Wings is a restaurant that specializes in exceptional wings from Buffalo (where the original location is). They have locations in Buffalo and the DFW area, all of which have a welcoming atmosphere where you can catch a game. They serve a full menu of wings, including traditional, boneless, Teriyaki T.K.O., and SPICY BBQ, with favorites like Buffalo medium and garlic parmesan.
Beyond the wings, the cheesesteak sandwich is also a highlight, featuring quality steak, cheese, onions, and bell peppers. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who can provide recommendations on the top menu items. The restaurant’s atmosphere is lively and engaging, with a mix of Bills and Cowboys memorabilia on the walls. While there can be a waitlist, many agree that the wait is well worth it, as the wings and fries are consistently delicious.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is a popular burger spot in Southlake, and we love swinging by here on a weekday afternoon when everyone else in the area is still stuck at work—wait too long to get here, and you’re guaranteed at least twenty minutes in the drive-thru. Before the dinner rush hits, though, this place is clean, modern, and relaxed. The Paleo burger wrapped in lettuce is our go-to order, along with the sweet potato fries and a Peach Tractor drink, because they’re all fantastic.

Crave Kitchens Southlake is a bustling spot that serves generous, crave-worthy meals in a space that feels both energetic and welcoming. The walls are exposed brick, the lighting is warm and rustic, the booths are deep and comfortable. Everything about the atmosphere says ‘this is a place for good food,’ and it is.
They craft their popular Baja burger and carne asada burrito with care, make all their starters like the fried pickles and garlic knots fresh (the mozzarella sticks are a must-order), and they make one of our favorite burrito bowls in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Kincaid’s Hamburgers

Kincaid’s Hamburgers is the kind of burger joint every town wishes it had. It’s classic, welcoming, and filled with nostalgic touches that feel genuinely authentic to the old-school diner experience. They make a very good burger, and if you’re feeling indulgent, it’s worth trying the Cattleman topped with a fried onion ring, which adds a satisfying crunch and flavor.
All-day service is a big draw here, since that means you can get their awesome fresh-ground patties and pimento cheese sandwiches whenever you want, as well as a solid strawberry milkshake. There’s also plenty of seating, friendly staff, and a manageable wait even when busy.

This Southlake burger joint is one of the few spots in the area where you can get the Texas Double Whopper. The space has a classic fast-casual feel, with bright lighting and clean, functional seating. They take burgers and value seriously here, and the menu selection is straightforward and satisfying and includes options from their app-exclusive offers. You can get a great proper meal here, and there’s really no wrong choice.
They make our favorite fried cheese fries and chicken sandwiches in town, and the overall service is destination-worthy.
