Original Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers is one of those Westminster spots you either know about or don’t. And if you do know about it, you don’t want anybody else to. That’s because this pleasant and clean restaurant kind of has it all: friendly staff, fresh food cooked to order, quick service with reasonable wait times, and classic comfort food (get their chili-cheese burger) available for takeout or hanging out while it’s made right in front of you. Just don’t tell anybody.

The reliable chain has multiple locations across Westminster, with this particular spot on the main drag that stays open 24 hours a day. But whether you roll in at noon or midnight, you’ll see folks grabbing breakfast burgers (a consistent favorite with eggs, bacon, and all the fixings on a fresh bun). Order it with extra cheese, and they’ll have it ready in minutes, hot and satisfying. Beyond this solid burger, the burritos from the counter inside are also worth your time.

If we had to pick one burger joint in Westminster to reign supreme over its fast-food kin, it’s the avocado cheeseburger from Bob’s Burgers. Juicy and satisfying as a classic diner meal, each flavorful bite at this neighborhood spot is rich with simple but tasty ingredients, but you can’t go wrong with the chili cheese fries here. This counter-service operation has a drive-thru right along the main street, with a cozy, casual atmosphere inside the diner.

This California institution has more than earned its place in burger lore, and while the classic Double-Double isn’t our absolute favorite among the fast-food spots, it’s still pretty tasty. Come pay your drive-thru respects and get a delicious chocolate shake on your way out. Open until 1 a.m. on the weekends.
The Habit Burger Grill (Drive-Thru)

Despite its drive-thru convenience, there’s a frustrating wait that tests your patience in Westminster. Luckily, The Habit Burger Grill makes up for it with its reliable and great quality burgers and a clean environment that feels welcoming. The portabello and BBQ bacon burgers are customer favorites, and you’re not entirely sure why those tempura green beans with garlic aioli are so addictive, but you’re into it.
And you’re even more into those onion rings, even if they occasionally appear less fresh. Open for lunch and dinner daily.
