If you haven’t already memorized every chicken joint in Arlington, congratulations. It must be nice to have restraint or perhaps a less obsessive palate. Just know that what follows will spoil your current rotation.
Luci’s Chicken & Rice
$ | (817) 277-1688 | WEBSITE

Our hearts were in our throats waiting to see which chicken combo the family at the next table would get for their kid who had never had fried chicken. They chose correctly—unlike traditional Southern-style fried chicken (the often heavy version with thick batter), Luci’s does crispy tenders with a light, seasoned coating and juicy meat inside. What really sets the food here apart, though, is the combination fried rice with just the right amount of savory flavor.
Which is why our heart broke when the server forgot to bring the apple pie we ordered (and that the manager let it go out to the table that way). We’re not mad at you, Luci’s—just disappointed.
Chicken Express
$ | (817) 462-4607 | WEBSITE

Chicken Express serves fried chicken that’s enjoyed throughout Arlington, and the 2026 list highlights how these crispy birds are prepared. While we’ve yet to sample every item on the menu, Chicken Express has a counter and dining area right on site. You can enjoy a hot and fresh chicken meal for just $8, and witness another part of the Chicken Express experience—friendly staff correcting orders and providing service, a form of real-time problem solving.
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers
$ | (817) 459-2560 | WEBSITE

Does Raising Cane’s have the best chicken in Arlington? No, but it doesn’t need to. This Texas chain has been around since 1996, and no fast-food experience is as satisfying as when you get a box of perfectly fried chicken fingers with that signature Cane’s sauce on the side. Coming to this reliable spot is an experience, one that gives you the chance to order a kid’s meal that comes with a cute prize and hopefully a sweet tea refill.
Krispy krunchy chicken حلال
$ | (817) 375-2009 | WEBSITE

Krispy Krunchy Chicken حلال isn’t just one of our favorite fried chicken spots in Arlington—we also have it on our best restaurants in Arlington list, as wildly controversial as it may be for a gas station eatery to be there. You can’t go wrong with anything from their menu, like the incredible chicken tenders, biscuits, or Philly cheese steak sandwich. The chicken tenders get a couple of enthusiastic nods from regulars, a glaring sign you should order some when you visit.
Crispy’s Great Chicken
$ | (817) 460-2442 | WEBSITE

That legendary fried chicken featured in Arlington’s food scene belongs to Crispy’s Great Chicken, one of the city’s best spots for comfort food. This long-standing favorite has been serving the community for years, and is known for their consistent and delicious flavors. Their signature specialties include must-try dishes like the spicy catfish, and equally delightful fried gizzard, giant shrimp, and chicken plates.
But our favorite mainstay is the tender combo with spicy chicken, always fresh, crispy, and bursting with flavor.
Chick-fil-A
$ | (817) 465-6631 | WEBSITE

Before you even approach the counter at this bustling Arlington Chick-fil-A, take a moment to appreciate the efficiency in motion. Whether you’re there for their consistently fresh chicken sandwich—like the classic Original, with its perfectly seasoned filet—or to grab a quick meal from their streamlined menu, you’ll be greeted by the young staff, who are genuinely polite and helpful.
The play area stays clean, and though there are only two restroom stalls, the overall spotlessness adds to the reliable vibe. While most of the team shines with outstanding service, the cleaning hostess could be a bit more attentive, which slightly dulls the welcoming atmosphere Chick-fil-A is known for.
Still, with accurate orders delivered quickly and a commitment to customer care—like when they helped a patron recover lost belongings—it’s no wonder many consider this the best Chick-fil-A they’ve visited.
Babe’s Chicken Dinner House
$ | (817) 801-0300 | WEBSITE

This family-style spot is like the grandmother in The Waltons, or all the cast members in The Beverly Hillbillies. It’s a metaphor. It’s not actually Babe’s, more of an amalgamation of several Texas comfort food joints. Yes, the menu and the atmosphere say Babe’s, and they serve the signature fried chicken (which is outstanding). But Babe’s is in Arlington and opened years ago, and as far as we know, no one’s actually doing the Hokie-Pokie.
Faux Babe’s represents all of Texas’s hearty family restaurants. They will be one of the most satisfying meals of your life, and you’ll likely want to loosen your belt afterward. Two things can exist at the same time.
Lisa’s Chicken
$ | (817) 299-8901 | WEBSITE

Lisa’s Chicken is such a fried chicken spot that, aside from the big chains, it rarely gets mentioned in best-of lists. That changes with this year’s updated rankings of Arlington’s top chicken restaurants. We get to see the inside, where their famous chicken tenders are massive and perfectly crispy, and the outside, where we like to grab our food and eat in the car, because Lisa’s doesn’t have seating.
It’s a place that works with you and gives you something delicious even if you only have two dollars for a small order.
Chicken Salad Chick
$ | (682) 410-0440 | WEBSITE

We would have suggested a different spot for classic chicken salad (like the deli counter at Central Market), but considering how much driving she already had to do across Arlington, perhaps Chicken Salad Chick was chosen for convenience. But Chicken Salad Chick is reliable and has multiple locations throughout the area. You’ll find options like the Fancy Nancy chicken salad with its unique flavors and textures, and comforting soups like the potato soup.
The strawberry lemonade and high-quality baked goods mentioned in reviews looked more appealing than any we’ve ever tried elsewhere.
Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood
$ | (682) 270-0124 | WEBSITE

In a city full of chain chicken spots, Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood stands out as a local favorite that’s worth the trip. Located in Arlington, this bustling spot is more memorable for its generous portions and friendly service than for any fancy decor. And because the dining area gets crowded with takeout customers waiting, it’s ideal for grabbing your food to go and enjoying those crispy fries and well-seasoned catfish at home.
Williams Fried Chicken
$ | (817) 861-5505 | WEBSITE

Despite the endless strip malls, drive-thrus, and somewhat predictable fast-food options going on in Arlington, one standout spot is tucked away in an unassuming location. And that consistently golden, perfectly seasoned fried chicken is from Williams Fried Chicken. This underground comfort-food joint has great food and feels like a neighborhood secret—and just like a good secret, you shouldn’t come expecting fancy frills.
Order the crunchy chicken with crinkle cut fries, add a side of creamy mashed potatoes, and bring your appetite for generous portions.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
$ | (817) 467-0745 | WEBSITE

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a fast-food chicken chain from the group that owns Church’s, and does its job remarkably well. This is why we heartily endorse the customer’s choice to come to this Arlington location, presumably for spicy fried chicken that will eventually become a satisfying family meal. But Popeyes’ best role is as a quick-service restaurant from lunch until late in the evening, where you can get great deals.
The menu features popular items, but there are a few staples, like the spicy chicken sandwich—a crispy chicken fillet with pickles and spicy mayo sauce.
Dave’s Hot Chicken
$ | (682) 338-5008 | WEBSITE

Dave’s Hot Chicken is a fast-food spot in Arlington and the standout choice in this year’s best chicken restaurants list. In the 2026 update, they’re recognized for their delicious chicken tenders and sliders with that perfect spice-sweetness balance. But when you visit, you get to experience the professional, helpful service firsthand, and see the friendly, accommodating staff who check on every single person in the clean, spacious lobby.
The young team making it happen—offering non-spicy options for kids and ensuring stress-free orders—really are doing a great job.
