The menu is focused but the quality is consistent. Al Pastor tacos have a tangy house marinade that’s equal parts aromatic as it is satisfying. Birria tacos are unlike any bland versions you’ve had before, while any meat off the grill section of the menu is likely worth a spot on your plate.

Basically, everyone’s too focused on the delicious chaos to notice the noise.

You’re treated like a regular from the moment you step up to the counter—even when you’re sweaty from a hot Georgia day—and the bowls are similarly satisfying. A ginger, lime, peanut bowl with grilled chicken and avocado could easily be your go-to lunch and what it might occasionally lack in perfectly cooked rice, Sabrina makes up for with her helpful professionalism.
BGR Burgers Grilled Right

The vibe of this burger joint in Atlanta feels like the rec room of a classic rock fanatic, decked out in retro band posters and memorabilia from the ’70s and ’80s. The $12.95 customizable burger combo is hard to pass up for the value, but it’s solid in taste too. A juicy, garlic-parmesan-topped beef patty cooked medium-rare hits the spot, and the plant-based burger has some decent flavor to it.

Meaning that it’s just as perfect for a family outing as it is a post-workout group breakfast.
You might have to wait a bit on weekends, but the food and efficient service more than make up for that.

You’ll find a mix of people at this no-nonsense chicken spot in Buckhead. But whether they’re grabbing a quick lunch or bringing the whole family, one thing you should know is that everyone at Scoville Hot Chicken is too focused on the crispy chicken sandwiches piled high with flavorful toppings to notice the sauce you’ve been passing off as ‘just a little aioli’ for three meals in a row. That’s just the kind of place this straightforward fast-food joint in Atlanta is. The counter service and quick turnover are a bit of a Greenbriar staple, and the chicken nachos and wings aren’t bad either.
Few things hit the spot like a chopped beef and cheese hotdog on pita bread with a side of water ice, and this is a reliable spot for both.

Every time I swing by Gusto! after a workout or a long day, I regret not wearing my stretchiest, most forgiving pants. It’s not that this fast-casual spot doesn’t deserve better—honestly, it might be the best quick-service meal in Atlanta. It’s because I want to fully savor the incredible assembly-style bowls and wraps—the fresh ingredients and bold flavors—without any waistband restrictions.
It probably also has to do with the fact that the chicken bowl with extra avocado is my favorite kind of comfort food and will most certainly leave me happily stuffed.

While this barbecue spot in Atlanta has the standout sandwiches and bomb milkshakes down, you do unfortunately have to navigate a crowded parking lot and sometimes confusing menu. But once you do, you’re in for one of the city’s best fast food experiences.
Plus there are customizable shakes and their unique sauce which tastes better when the atmosphere is kid-friendly and welcoming, wearing the kind of relaxed attitude only a weekend crowd has the pleasure of sharing before.
Shake Shack Perimeter Mall

Shake Shack Perimeter Mall is a go-to in Atlanta for reliable and satisfying fast food. There are only a handful of tables in this basic space, so grabbing it to go is the move. Preferably all the way back to your hotel, because there is no greater combination than the crispy Korean BBQ sandwich and your comfy sneakers. The fast-moving line is full of people in casual wear watching eagerly as the burgers are made fresh. If you’re eating in, get the Shack Burger with avocado.
It’s a neatly assembled, juicy patty so you can eat it like a proper meal. If you’re heading somewhere more comfortable, we’d go with the Maple Snickerdoodle Shake every time.
