Southlake, Texas might not have a coastline, but its culinary scene is awash with Mediterranean flavors. From a family-run Lebanese spot where the hummus is so smooth it could double as silk to a Greek taverna grilling octopus that tastes like it just leapt from the Aegean, you almost can’t run out of amazing options. So we’ve gathered 14 of our favorites to help you dive in.

Aladdin Mediterranean Café
$ | (817) 482-6829 | WEBSITE

Tucked away in a cozy Southlake strip mall, Aladdin Mediterranean Café is the kind of unpretentious, under-the-radar restaurant that locals probably don’t want anyone outside their neighborhood to know about. But sorry to them, it’s too charming (and reasonably priced) not to share: The food at this warm, inviting spot leans Mediterranean, with a good mix of small plates like baba ghanoush and roasted cauliflower alongside larger, shareable entrees like tender lamb shank or juicy chicken kebob.
And since the kitchen focuses on authentic preparation, you’ll find a wonderfully consistent menu that offers various-sized portions to suit however many people you’re dining with.
Luna Grill Southlake
$$ | (817) 488-8811 | WEBSITE

Luna Grill Southlake is like the Mediterranean comfort food of Southlake—simply put, it’s a favorite for a reason. This cozy spot tucked away in Southlake feels less like a restaurant and more of a gathering place for those who appreciate fresh, healthy dining. For now, they offer reasonably priced options around $12-$18 per person, filled with perfectly seasoned gyros packed with plenty of meat, crispy golden fries, and that phenomenal tzatziki sauce.
It’s all prepared with care, combining classic Mediterranean flavors with some of the freshest grilled salmon and chicken you’ll find in a pita. And be assured: despite the quality food, wait times stay refreshingly short even during the busiest hours.
Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe – Southlake
$ | (817) 203-8296 | WEBSITE

Taziki’s is an excellent place for a casual weeknight dinner, family gathering, or a quick lunch break. This Mediterranean cafe has plenty of space, so your meal isn’t going to get interrupted because the table next to you is trying to decide between the lamb burger or chicken gyro. Get the cucumber salad and order the grilled vegetables to start. For entrees, focus on the gyros—we like the spicy chicken best—with either red potatoes or baklava for dessert.
Moe’s Gyro (Gyros and Wings)
$ | (682) 626-5889 | WEBSITE

Moe’s Gyro is a straightforward Mediterranean spot known for its generous portions and flavorful food. While the ambiance can feel a bit awkward at times, don’t let that deter you. You will certainly be impressed by the extremely kind staff and the quick, reliable service.
It’s a great spot for a satisfying lunch or a casual dinner, but we especially love stopping by after a long day for a gyro plate piled high with cucumber, tomato, hummus, rice, and perfectly seasoned gyro meat, all for around $10.
PIAF Kitchen + Wine + Bar
$$ | (817) 527-6898 | WEBSITE

PIAF Kitchen + Wine + Bar is a family-run Mediterranean spot that approaches its menu with genuine passion. The selection of dishes here varies in flavor and presentation, but all are crafted with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean inspiration. In other words, you don’t find this quality just anywhere in Southlake. The grilled octopus is our favorite, but whatever you choose will be served with care by attentive staff in a lively space with live music in the background.
It’s vibrant, flavorful, and exactly what we want for a celebratory night out.
Luna Grill Flower Mound
$$ | (972) 691-5862 | WEBSITE

Luna Grill Flower Mound is a modern Mediterranean spot with a relaxed vibe and those unique light fixtures everyone notices. Get there early or be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours—they do keep things moving for walk-ins though. Once you’re seated, start with the feta fries and the Santorini Bowl with gyro meat to share.
The chicken is cooked perfectly every time—juicy and packed with flavor—and don’t skip the SHUG sauce, that Mediterranean chimichurri-like condiment that makes everything better. While the plastic cutlery and paper plates might feel a bit casual, the generous portions and fresh ingredients more than make up for it. Just be aware they’ve discontinued the apple walnut salad, which was a favorite for some. Overall, it’s a great spot for satisfying Greek-inspired dishes without breaking the bank.
Hala Cafe
$ | (817) 785-3383 | WEBSITE

Many know shawarma, or Middle Eastern spiced meat, from its stint wrapped in pita or served at those broadly Mediterranean restaurants whose names often sound like they were ripped from a generator. But at Hala Cafe, shawarma isn’t just some dish on the menu—it’s the dish on the menu. The warm Southlake cafe specializes in it, from the classic chicken shawarma platter to the mixed grill kebabs, and serves them alongside an inviting spread of hummus, lentil soup, and fresh salads.
The star of the show here is their signature chicken shawarma. Made in the home-cooked style, tender slices of chicken are marinated and grilled to perfection, then served with their recommended hot sauce, resulting in a dish that’s flavorful inside and wonderfully aromatic outside.
Café Medi
$ | (817) 337-3204 | WEBSITE

Come any night of the week (except Sundays when they’re closed) and you’ll find a sizable crowd of families, young professionals, and couples on date nights all waiting for tables inside Café Medi. It’s a BYOB, family-friendly spot that’s been open since the early 2000s, tucked away in a Southlake shopping center that serves authentic Mediterranean fare.
Order the moussaka for about $18, served in a beautiful ceramic dish with a golden crust, so you can experience the rich layers of eggplant and spiced meat. There’s creamy hummus drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with paprika and tongue-tingling tzatziki, a cool cucumber yogurt dip perfect with warm pita. The lemon rice soup comes in a steaming bowl for around $6, with tender rice and bright citrus notes that make it worth every spoonful.
Finish with the baklava for about $8, flaky phyllo layers soaked in honey syrup with chopped walnuts that crumble with each sweet bite. Live music floats through the dining room on weekends, adding to the warm atmosphere where servers—some newer but all attentive—move between tables with plates of Greek salad dotted with feta and dolmas stuffed with herbed rice. Reservations help on busy Fridays, but even with a wait, the good service and flavorful dishes make Café Medi worth the visit.
Gyro 360
$ | (469) 464-4277 | WEBSITE

In a bustling Southlake strip, Gyro 360 is a Mediterranean spot that mostly caters to takeout and delivery. But any day of the week, any hungry person can walk in and grab a gyro, a chicken bowl, or a truly satisfying Spicy 360 combo. There are several savory options you can choose from their menu, and while they’re all tasty, we especially like the OG gyro paired with their creamy tzatziki.
Just keep in mind that this is a casual eatery with solid but simple atmosphere, so you’ll probably end up enjoying your generous, flavor-packed meal at one of their basic tables or taking it home for leftovers. Occasionally, Gyro 360 also offers quick and attentive service—if you need anything corrected, they’ll handle it promptly.
The Halal Guys
$ | (817) 912-1412 | WEBSITE

The Halal Guys is the Beyoncé of Mediterranean spots in Southlake—we haven’t met anyone yet who can resist its appeal. The bright, clean dining area and bustling counter inside this Texas location radiate casual comfort, the kind you’d usually find in a neighborhood favorite. The platters are prepared with fresh ingredients, which gives the food a vibrant, wonderfully satisfying flavor.
Once you’ve decided which protein you want, choose a couple of sauces, toppings, and sides to round out your halal meal dream. We’re partial to their signature platter, loaded with generous portions, with a side of white sauce and a good drizzle of hot sauce right on top. Keep this spot in mind when you want a Mediterranean dinner that feels both reliable and delicious without being too complicated.
CAVA
$ | (469) 702-9025 | WEBSITE

CAVA is the most refreshing thing to happen to Southlake since people realized they could eat healthy without sacrificing flavor. Unlike most Mediterranean spots that feel like assembly lines, CAVA falls into the category of “Quick-Service Restaurant To Feel Good About.” The bright dining area is lively enough for you to catch the upbeat playlist, but not so bustling that you can’t enjoy a peaceful lunch.
And practically all of the Mediterranean dishes at CAVA are worth braving the suburban traffic for. We especially like their Harissa Steak Bowl, pita chips with red pepper hummus, and the always-fresh ingredients that make each bowl feel custom-crafted. Come to CAVA if you’re looking to treat yourself to a nutritious meal that delivers both flavor and that welcome feeling of eating something genuinely good for you.
Istanbul Cuisine
$$ | (817) 251-1950 | WEBSITE

Plenty of Mediterranean spots serve kebabs, but only Istanbul Cuisine presents them with the kind of heartfelt hospitality that makes you feel like you’re dining in a Turkish home. This welcoming Southlake restaurant has a family platter at $45–an absolute steal–though the addition of braised lamb shank and housemade desserts makes the full experience an easy yes. Each flavorful bite lingers on your palate longer than the last, which means your taste buds are basically in heaven.
The cozy interior only has about 15 tables (and a bustling buffet station), so come with friends and take turns sampling dolmas and hummus until you’re perfectly satisfied. Just don’t wait too long to try the Turkish coffee–the rich aroma beckons faster than you think.
Wild Chef Meal Prep & Catering
$$ | (817) 737-9453 | WEBSITE

If you know the laws of meal prep services, you know to generally expect bland containers of chicken and broccoli. Break that rule at Wild Chef Meal Prep & Catering. This unassuming spot in Southlake has a very good menu of every comfort food staple in the book, but you’re here for their Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The bacon mac n cheese is excellent and we wish we were eating the pork sliders—a satisfying plate of tender meat on soft buns—right now.
For a stress-free holiday, their Thanksgiving Fest meal prep is the move, heating up easily with minimal cleanup. The owners’ kindness and dedication shine through in every bite, making this spot perfect for those seeking quality food and service. It’s definitely worth a return visit.
