Casa da Pizza Romeira
Casa da Pizza Romeira is not a traditional, cramped pizzeria. Think of it as more of a large, pizza-focused hall in Almada. It definitely feels like a family-friendly spot, with its bright lights and spacious layout—it’s the kind of place you’d visit with your kids or a big group, not for a quiet, intimate dinner. That being said, a generous, well-seasoned slice of pizza is still going to be the highlight of your meal here.
Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut is the perfect blend of a reliable chain restaurant and a neighborhood pizza spot. It’s been serving Almada for years. Bright red booths, checkered tablecloths, and cheerful pizza-themed artwork fill the space. Staff in crisp red shirts and aprons move efficiently between the clean, well-prepared tables. And while its familiar brand name draws plenty of families and groups, there’s also a steady stream of locals who know it well.
If you want a consistently satisfying meal, order one of their extremely tasty pizzas (all of which are made fresh daily) and enjoy the super pleasant service from staff like Benilsa, though be prepared for possible waits during the busiest hours.
KSM Pizzeria
This Portuguese pizzeria sits along a roadside, with a cozy and charming dining space right by the window. KSM Pizzeria’s menu doesn’t have the standard pizza slices, here there are skewered meats cooked over fire and served with salad and chips, and a server who must have a degree in Grill-ology will walk you through everything—like how the meat is prepared halal, why, and its journey from source to your plate.
This place is atmospherically low-key (but not at all basic) and very reasonable—expect to spend around €15 on the meal alone.
Laboratório das Pizzas
Nothing says “a night out in Almada” like a pizzeria that’s built around a large terrace. That’s where Laboratório das Pizzas comes in. And while a spacious patio doesn’t always equal good pizza, you don’t have to worry about that here. From the thin and crispy dough to the tasty ingredients on their wide menu, the offerings are full of hits.
And if you’re armed with a reasonable budget and a desire for pizza whose quality looks like the best value in town, they also have a reputation for friendly staff.
PZA Pizza Alla Pala
PZA Pizza Alla Pala is a pizza spot in Almada that’s different from all the other places on this list, because it’s much more affordable, casual, and upbeat (not to mention with great outdoor seating). This is a place you come with your friends and your appetite, and plan on staying for as long as possible. The pizzas are fantastic, but the environment is even better—it’s lively and full of enough Roman charm that you might start thinking you’re in Italy (you’re not).
Valdo Gatti Pizza Bio (Cacilhas, Almada)
Great pizza alone is good, but great pizza with a side of homemade wine is even better. Yes, the original Valdo Gatti is in Italy, but Valdo Gatti Pizza Bio has been around long enough that it’s turned into an Almada classic on its own. You’ll find all the Italian dishes you’d expect (there’s a whole menu section devoted to pasta, and plenty of crispy-crust pizzas), along with seasonal sangria and vegan options.
Just know that because Valdo Gatti is in the part of Cacilhas that’s very close to the waterfront, you’ll be eating with a lot of locals enjoying the cozy atmosphere.
Fast Pizza Delivery
There are so many pizza places in Almada, and most have been around for years. So Fast Pizza Delivery said why not, let’s open another one and make the catupiry rim on the pizza incredible and keep the garlic bread perfectly praised. Can’t blame them, though, because they did a great job. Come here to enjoy any casual night—like your friend’s simple craving—over a regular size pizza that’s enough for two with leftovers.
Domino’s Pizza
Domino’s Pizza is the most reliable spot of the bunch, and it’s perfect for experiencing all the things people love about pizza chains: good quality, wide options, and solid value. It feels a little basic, but in a dependable way, and despite the fact that it’s a chain, it isn’t pretentious or overpriced. The crowd’s a mixed bag of families, students, and locals grabbing quick meals with (literally) all-you-can-eat buffets, so no matter your budget, this is a good choice.
Restaurante Indiano Goa Darbar – Cacilhas
This Indian restaurant in Cacilhas channels authentic Goan charm, complete with cloth tablecloths and napkins, servers in traditional attire, and aromatic spices filling the air. But behind the atmosphere is substance. There are excellent dishes on the menu—like the chicken jalfrezi that will make you wonder whether those spices were hand-ground daily. There are also generous portions of fragrant rice if garlic naan isn’t special enough to accompany your reasonably priced meal.
The service remains welcoming, fast, and efficient throughout, creating a calm lunch experience where the food consistently delivers a taste trip to India.
Casa da Pizza – Feijó
Head to this pizzeria in Feijó if you appreciate straightforward goodness. It’s more relaxed than a fussy gourmet joint and has plenty of space in the dining area to settle in and feel at ease. And if you’re seated near the open kitchen, you’ll catch glimpses of the staff prepping fresh ingredients like they’re building something special.
Everything that comes out of that oven is worth trying, like pizzas that capture the essence of quality simplicity, hearty pasta with praised sauces, and, naturally, the satisfying desserts. They’re all served with a welcoming touch, and our favorite to share (though we’re claiming the final slice) is the classic margherita pizza.
Máfia das Pizzas
This Almada pizzeria from the Máfia das Pizzas team zhuzhes up classic Italian cuisine with some Portuguese coastal flair. Ravioli with cream sauce and excellent pizzas appear, but unlike typical Italian spots, you can order spicy spaghetti with prawns on the side, and the staff serves everything with fresh-ingredient perfection. Twists on pasta courses are also divine, like the must-try ravioli or that spicy prawn delight.
Máfia das Pizzas’ location in Almada guarantees many locals inside the cozy yet welcoming dining space. But one bite of buttery ravioli wrapped in cream sauce can charm even the most pizza-focused diners into enjoying a full meal here.
