There are a lot of reasons to crave pizza in Barrie. Head to the waterfront, and you can enjoy a slice with a downright breathtaking view of Kempenfelt Bay. Walk down one of the city’s bustling streets, and you can pretend you’re starring in your very own culinary tour of Simcoe County. Hang out at any of these spots, and you’ll experience unparalleled cheesy goodness.
Reginos Pizza
$ | (705) 726-5777 | WEBSITE

Regino’s Pizza offers amazing pizza that tastes fresh and delicious, and it’s the calling card of this Italian-American spot that’s one of our favorite dinner options in Barrie. Our favorite way to go here is the meat lover’s pizza. Between the loads of toppings and the generous cheese, there’s lots of flavor that gets perfectly balanced by the crispy crust. Add in a side of their perfectly baked Panzerottis with no grease, and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine meal.
Either take your pizza, plus some wings, to enjoy at home, or hang out in their welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff for a satisfying experience.
Domino’s Pizza
$ | (705) 728-0330 | WEBSITE

It’s easy to get swept up in devouring the delicious garlic cheesey bread at this pizza spot. With a box full of perfectly balanced hand-tossed crust, fully loaded veggie pizzas, and multiple garlic cheese sticks on the table, it’ll take a few bites before you realize that your entire order arrived twenty minutes early, and it’s totally worth it. Choose between the revamped sauce options, and then round out your order with some free oregano, crushed spicy peppers, and garlic for added flavor.
Located with consistent community commitment, this Barrie location also has friendly staff providing fast, courteous service and excellent value with manageable coupon prices.
Red Swan Pizza

Barrie has plenty of pizza joints where you can grab a quick slice on the go, but Red Swan Pizza is our favorite spot in town to sit down and enjoy a pie that someone else made for us. Their crispy yet soft crusts with fresh, flavorful toppings are consistently satisfying, and the kitschy space (it’s decorated like a cozy lodge) is a great place to gather a group of friends for a casual meal, especially on a chilly Ontario evening.
Ordering breadsticks with cheese just feels right when you’re splitting a large pizza that won’t break the bank at around $25.
Paezano’s Pizza & Marketplace
$ | (705) 722-1717 | WEBSITE

Paezano’s is a pizza spot in Barrie where you’ll find golden-brown panzerotti with soft, airy dough and something called the panzerotti combo (two small panzos and a drink). The popular restaurant known for exceptional pizza, Paezano’s serves hearty dishes that taste like they’re coming straight out of a kitchen in Italy. Try the gluten-free options with fantastic sauce, or the generous portions covered in fresh toppings, and share a big scoop of in-house gelato with your friends.
Barnstormer Brewing & Distilling Co. Brewpub Restaurant
$$ | (705) 481-1701 | WEBSITE

This brewpub on Barrie’s dining scene puts a premium on hearty comfort food, and the kitchen’s consistent execution elevates the experience. The signature pizza, for example, arrives perfectly crispy and loaded with toppings—though it’s the brisket tacos we still find ourselves craving days later. The welcoming atmosphere here makes for a fun night out, but there’s also a solid bar selection for a quick drink (there, walk-in seating is available, though tables for full meals book up fast).
The wings are packed with flavor, and their homemade hot sauce makes for an outstanding Caesar cocktail. Prices are reasonable overall, though some items like the tacos may feel a bit steep. Whether you’re stopping in for their well-received Leather Brown Ale or a full meal with those delicious Jalapeño honey fries, Barnstormers delivers on all fronts with friendly, attentive service.
East Side Mario’s
$$ | (705) 719-9699 | WEBSITE

East Side Mario’s has been serving Barrie for years and, despite the arrival of trendier pizza joints in recent times, it has consistently delivered some of the most satisfying meals in town. We love East Side Mario’s for a family dinner, but it’s an excellent choice for special occasions like Mother’s Day, when servers like Nicole H and Kim provide outstanding, hot food without missing a beat.
They also have a unique kid-friendly feature with their robot named Stan, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat garlic bread and Caesar salad remain highlights, and the affordable prices make it easy to return regularly. The restaurant gets busy, but the service stays impeccable, with staff like Ashley offering friendly, courteous care.
It’s a comfortable spot where the team truly cares about making each visit special, and that consistent attention is what keeps customers coming back.
Papa Joe’s Pizza & Chicken

You have to go looking for Papa Joe’s Pizza & Chicken. It’s on a mostly commercial street in a converted space that feels like a family kitchen, and if it weren’t for the strong pizza and chicken aromas wafting from the doors, you could easily miss it. A small part of us wishes we could keep this place all to ourselves, but you should know that Papa Joe’s makes some special pizza and chicken dishes.
The crust is crispy but tender, the tandoori paneer pizza is flavorful heaven, and they’re generous with their chicken, which has a crispy exterior and juicy interior. There are only a few tables inside and on the sidewalk, so this is a spot for an efficient, satisfying solo pizza and chicken experience.

Little Caesars Pizza is no longer just the reliable, family-friendly spot on a quiet street in Barrie. This is a destination pizza joint—and it deserves every bit of praise it receives. While the signature dish here is the thin crust pizza at lunch, dinner at Little Caesars is just as satisfying, if not more. Always order the BBQ chicken pizza and whatever specials Caitlyn recommends, and save some room for dessert.

$ | (705) 737-2222 | WEBSITE

Barrie’s most beloved pizza joint is in a no-frills storefront on the main strip. Classic, generous, old-school—there are many things you could call Dino’s, but pretentious isn’t one of them. Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint
$$ | (705) 728-7952 | WEBSITE

Barrie residents have plenty to celebrate, and high among those reasons is that the city boasts Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint. There isn’t a regulars’ punch card yet—but it’s still reassuring to know that some of the area’s finest wood-fired pizza is right there near the beach, inside a lively, welcoming space that channels a perfect spot for a party with friends. The pies are unapologetically saucy, with a crust so thin and crisp that we’d gladly finish the remains from a crust-skeptic’s plate.
They don’t do single slices, which basically compels you to gather a group. Life could be harder.
Pizzeria Italia Restaurant
$$ | (705) 728-1421 | WEBSITE

From the same folks behind Barrie’s oldest established pizzeria, Pizzeria Italia specializes in exciting riffs on classic Italian comfort food. Their hand-made pizza crust has turned us into regulars (it sells out fast), and the Penne Rose has sauce that’s loved but also mixed throughout perfectly. Always expect to call ahead for takeout, and always expect that takeout to be entirely worth it.

But Twice The Deal Pizza feels like it’s right in your neighborhood, with piles of fresh toppings that go all the way to the edge that you can enjoy right in the shop (this place also does delivery).
A massive XL with one topping for just 11 dollars after tax, consistently good quality, and that perfectly crisp outside with a soft inside are all on deck if you’re ordering in.
