In the great pizza debate of Prescott Valley—excuse us, the only debate that matters—these 10 spots rise above the rest. Sure, others might boast wood-fired ovens or imported mozzarella, but these culinary champions deliver that perfect goldilocks blend of crispy crust, melty cheese, and sauce that’ll make you forget about the desert heat. Here are the best. Ranked, obviously.
Plaza Bonita Prescott Valley
$ | (928) 775-7014 | WEBSITE

After years of hearing about the Taco Tuesday deal, we finally tried Plaza Bonita Prescott Valley. There are a few decent attributes to this typical Mexicano spot—like the $.99 tacos with all the fixings on Tuesdays, or that the staff efficiently serves customers even when busy—but most of the menu at this forgettable chain needs help.
The macho burrito is somehow both Americanized and bland, the number one combo is so lacking in spice it’ll make you wonder, and the chicken mole enchiladas, while flavorful, are nonetheless served in a dining environment that feels more comfortable than authentic. The salsa with chips tastes like it comes straight from a can, and while everything is prepared hot and fresh, the complex flavors just aren’t there. It’s a pleasant enough experience, but not one that’ll have us rushing back.
Little Caesars Pizza
$ | (928) 772-7372 | WEBSITE

An American pizza mainstay that has only gotten more reliable with time. No, not some fancy artisanal spot—we’re talking about Little Caesars. Grabbing a quick meal at this straightforward eatery is the closest thing this town has to a stress-free afternoon with a good friend. Pick up a Hot and Ready pepperoni pizza, add some extra cheese or crazy crust on the edges, or grab a side of jalapeno cheddar sauce for dipping.
The staff is super chill and helpful, even carrying orders to your car if needed. Who knows? Maybe you’ll leave feeling like you got a great deal without any hassle.
MOD Pizza
$ | (928) 212-1980 | WEBSITE

Known widely as the “Subway of pizza,” MOD Pizza is a spot with pies that taste about as exciting as, well, what you’d get at Subway. The line can sometimes rival Chipotle during the lunch rush, but the payoff at MOD is a generous toppings policy that lets you pile on as many as you like without changing the price. But what’s on the pies is less impressive. The sauces are overwhelmed by too much garlic or taste like watery tomato disguised as marinara.
The pesto looks vibrant, but once you taste it, it’s clear it’s been sitting in the container for a while. The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially for those who appreciate the many non-meat topping options, and the clean kitchen and fast service make it a convenient lunch option. But with ingredients that feel mass-produced and a casual atmosphere that’s more functional than inviting, it’s hard to get excited. Pass.
Pizza Hut
$ | (928) 775-0906 | WEBSITE

It’s early January, and you just survived a holiday season of elaborate meals and family obligations. Head to Pizza Hut for a reset. This reliable chain restaurant specializes in American-style pizza, which is essentially comfort food but with consistent quality. Their standout is the new hot honey pizza, a modern twist involving sweet and spicy notes on a classic pie.
It’s good if you really like bold flavors, but we prefer the pineapple pizza, which comes with a buttery crust and the classic fruit topping. The buffet offers variety, and the staff keeps everything fresh and welcoming. Despite some past hiccups with phone orders, it’s a place worth revisiting for a casual meal.
Rosa’s Pizzeria (Prescott Valley)
$ | (928) 277-0633 | WEBSITE

No, this is not some trendy fusion spot where you have to decode the menu or wait an hour for a table. It’s just a solid neighborhood pizzeria with a welcoming patio. We go for the $24 large pizza, which comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and their “signature” garlic knots on the side. You can also look forward to each slice arriving on a simple white plate, which we can’t help but assume are the same ones from the local diner down the street.
Rusty’s Subs, Pizza & Wings
$ | (928) 775-2632 | WEBSITE

Life can be chaotic and overwhelming, but at least there’s a pizza joint in Prescott Valley with perfectly crispy chicken tenders, a legendary meatball sub, and ranch dressing so good you’ll want to buy it by the bottle. Rusty’s is an ideal lunch spot when you’re craving something comforting or you’re in the mood to absolutely destroy your diet (just kidding, the portions are generous but manageable).
Get the wings as your main and then add in any side that catches your eye, especially those French fries everyone raves about.
Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza
$ | (928) 775-7171 | WEBSITE

Busy weeknights can drain your energy, especially when your hungry family wants pizza but nobody wants to wait. If that sounds familiar (or you just need an easy solution) head to Papa Murphy’s. This cheerful, clean pizza spot offers a solid selection of customizable pies, but we always go for their most reliable options: the fresh, not-too-heavy cheese pizza and the pepperoni that tastes like quality meat with just the right amount of seasoning.
Put your own oven to good use and relax for 15 minutes while it bakes. Your family and schedule will appreciate it.
Guido’s Pizza
$ | (928) 632-5950 | WEBSITE

With all due respect to the chain pizzerias and Italian spots around town, the pizza scene in Prescott Valley has been about as exciting as watching dough rise. One bright spot is Guido’s Pizza. This family-friendly joint is our go-to spot for slightly sweet sauce pizzas, crispy wings, and generous scoops of ice cream. This place can be a little hit-or-miss depending on how busy that small strip mall location gets, but when the service is attentive and the tables are available, it’sreallygood.
Dough Boyz Pizzeria
$ | (928) 277-8061 | WEBSITE

Ignore every instinct telling you to skip this spot. A quick lunch at Dough Boyz Pizzeria is one of Prescott Valley’s great casual food experiences. And even if you arrive alone, you’ll feel right at home thanks to the friendly and professional staff, who’ll happily chat with you while your order cooks up. Is the food perfect? Not entirely.
But you’ll also get a generous feast of crispy garlic parm wings, an 8″ Hawaiian pizza with the perfect amount of toppings, and awesome cheese bread—for only $18. In this town, that’s a small price to pay for taking your taste buds a little more seriously.
Tailgaters & IL Primo Prescott Valley
$ | (928) 775-0000 | WEBSITE

You can find pretty much anything inside this popular sports bar, including some of the best pizza in Prescott Valley. Tailgaters & IL Primo is a lively spot that serves a generous, delicious pizza that comes piping hot on a large round platter. It also serves as a perfect centerpiece for all of the satisfying, appetite-pleasing things you can pair it with, like hearty wraps stuffed with fresh ingredients and loaded sandwiches piled high with toppings.
It’s an outrageous (and incredible) meal to have surrounded by sports TVs, but it’s what we need after cheering through an entire game with friends.
