Calixtos is a family-owned spot tucked away in Huntington. The pizza here is sliced so huge, you could use it as a frisbee (disclaimer: this will probably get messy). The XL pizza is crispy and delicious, with a whopping 32 slices. Simple, yet effective. They also make calzones and salads with amazing house dressing, but those tend to be randomly sold out so come in a pizza mood.
It’s a solid slice situation after a long day of errands in Westminster (which is a short drive away) or after hours of craving something quick and affordable.
Big Rob’s Pizzeria

Westminster’s pizza joints start blending together when you’ve tried as many as we have. But true to its name, this corner spot in the strip mall is the best old-school pizzeria in Westminster. What separates it from the rest is how well they balance the cheese, sauce, and toppings on these extra crispy pies, giving each ingredient time to shine on the crust. We like the Meat Lovers pizza, which gets a generous layer of fresh toppings while it’s still in the oven.
They have a clean, quiet atmosphere where you can eat inside, but these pizzas taste just as good at home after picking one up. The welcoming restaurant employs friendly and attentive staff who make preparing our favorite pizzas in the city look easy.
Renato’s Restaurant and Catering

Renato’s Restaurant and Catering is a cozy Italian spot that makes really good pizza, pasta, and other Italian classics. There’s a patio outside, but it will feel like an oven if it’s sunny out. So if you’re planning to dine there, come on a breezy evening and order a large pizza (our favorite is the pepperoni), some garlic knots, and have yourself a little Italian feast—complete with a crisp Peroni to wash it all down.

Magic Mike’s Pizza

Magic Mike’s Pizza has been serving Westminster’s pizza lovers from its family-run spot for years now. Before gluten-free became a standard menu request, this was one of the first places in this part of Orange County to offer a proper thick-crust gluten-free pie—which remains a game-changer here. It’s housed in a cozy space with both indoor and outdoor seating that gives very neighborhood-pizzeria vibes in the best way possible.
Ask to sit outside under the personal heat lamps, but come early because the coveted patio tables fill up fast.
Michael’s Sports Pub & Grill

Michael’s Sports Pub & Grill is not just the best option outside the typical sports bar chains or family restaurants. No, saying that would downplay how good Michael’s is in its own right. They offer solid versions of not only their famous Tequila chicken and daily specials—but also those $11 pizzas after 9pm and a welcoming atmosphere.
Like most local pubs, this is a very casual spot with ample indoor seating and entertainment like air hockey and pool tables, but most people stick to staying for the full experience with their families or sports fan friends.
Domino’s Pizza

This Domino’s Pizza location offers online ordering every day with pizzas ready quickly, but ordering ahead is the best move during football games for the smootest experience. The straightforward space has a bright counter area with digital menu screens above the clean prep stations, where you’ll see a mix of families grabbing a reliable dinner and students picking up a quick meal between classes.
Domino’s serves consistently good cheese pizzas with a generous amount of toppings, along with solid sandwiches, which feature fresh ingredients packed for takeout convenience.
Valuetina’s Pizza

If you think the words family-owned and best pizza in Westminster are mutually exclusive, then you need to visit this spot. It’s not only one of the best pizza restaurants in the area, but it will remind you of any of those classic, beloved neighborhood joints. It even has that perfect dough and fresh, flavorful toppings. Except, the service is proactive and the place is spotlessly clean. They make a good pizza with that perfect marinara sauce—a blend of spices with just a hint of sweetness.
But we love their custom orders the best, which come with generous amounts of high-quality cheese and toppings that can easily compete with the best chain versions around.
Dino’s Italian Restaurant

Pizza is Dino’s Italian Restaurant’s specialty. Crispy pies are delivered to most of the tables at this cozy Italian spot (which has a large space with plenty of seating for big groups). The pizza—available by the slice or whole pie—comes with a side of marinara sauce for dipping (we like the cheesy garlic bread with it). While pizza is the main reason to come here, they also make good baked lasagna if you want to have a varied spread of Italian food on the table.
