But Stoner’s Pizza Joint Edgewater is a safer bet, where you can grab a hand-tossed pizza just minutes from home. The place feels like a classic family spot with bright lighting, simple booths, and coin machines with toys to keep kids entertained. Have a pizza with your evening plans and maybe grab some gum balls once the food is ready.
Dustin’s Bar-B Q
$ | (386) 423-5299 | WEBSITE

Why are there so few authentic barbecue joints in Edgewater? It’s a perfect concept. Case in point, Dustin’s Bar-B Q: a welcoming spot with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Fall-off-the-bone ribs, sliced pork sandwiches with fries, and a variety of sauces including a popular sweet one—you’ll find it all here, as well as an impressive salad bar and delicious garlic bread.
The roast beef, pork, chicken, and huge sweet potatoes also shine, served by attentive staff like Mike in a space that feels like home, though the parking area could use better lighting at night.

Chals Time Out Sport Pub offers great drinks at reasonable prices, but know you’re walking into a lively scene. The people-watching here is prime: locals and out-of-town visitors come ready for fun, with the DJ playing a mix that keeps the energy high. And you can take all of it in from a cozy bar area that’s perfect for casual hangouts.
Friendly bartenders like Melinda are available if you want to enjoy the atmosphere, but skip expecting full meals and stick to drinks and snacks for a fun, enjoyable time.
Tailgatorz
$ | (386) 410-4783 | WEBSITE

Tailgatorz looks a lot like other lively roadside bars in Edgewater: a covered patio, picnic tables, and an outside bar that would like you to stay a while. But more importantly, there’s plenty of space here, where you can gather with friends, take advantage of the great atmosphere, and enjoy a wild time as you dig into excellent burgers and wings. They also host fun events, and if you’re lucky, you might catch the staff serving up Sunday bloody marys for a deal.
El Molcajete Cocina Mexicana
$ | (386) 410-5840 | WEBSITE

Blame it on those Edgewater locals craving authentic Mexican food, but finding a restaurant that has both consistently fresh meals and spacious seating (not to mention huge portions) is surprisingly tricky. We usually make a beeline to El Molcajete Cocina Mexicana, a pub-style Mexican restaurant with lots of tables where you can bring the whole family.
You’ll also be enjoying some seriously good food—as part of its charm, the restaurant serves up delicious carne asada lunch specials and sizzling chicken fajitas that keep everyone coming back for more.

Little Caesars Pizza
$ | (386) 410-2423 | WEBSITE

Little Caesars Pizza doesn’t look like much from the outside, but they’ve developed a fairly rabid following for their pizza. And despite the barebones interior, it’s surprisingly unpretentious and welcoming, and they utilize the small space well, with simple booths and plenty of counter space. We’re fans of the hot and delicious meals received at the pickup window throughout the day, which makes us feel like we’re getting a genuine treat instead of just grabbing fast food.
The staff interactions range from amazing and courteous to efficient and straightforward, and the menu offers satisfying options like deep dish pepperoni, regular cheese pizza, and crazy bread. Despite the wait time for food, customers leave satisfied with the tasty results.
Pattiecakes Cheesecakery
$ | (386) 241-3228 | WEBSITE

Despite being a destination for cheesecake lovers, Pattiecakes Cheesecakery isn’t entirely overrun by sugar-crazed crowds. All their cheesecakes are reasonably priced, with the Blueberry Clobber being our go-to slice order with its dense, rich, and creamy texture. There’s also a lovely selection of mini-cheesecakes like traditional, strawberry shortcake, and mocha, but we still prefer the decadent full-sized slices.
Be warned: the cheesecakes are absolutely irresistible, so plan accordingly and save room for dessert.

The menu is satisfying, with classic pies to Greek salads and baked lasagna, but make sure to order one of the amazing desserts that look homemade with care (they taste as good as they look).
Filippos is reliably open for dinner, but the limited parking is not-so-convenient, so plan to arrive early.

Every neighborhood deserves a pleasant place to grab a satisfying breakfast like The Bagel Barn. This Edgewater cafe has a few great things going for it: the best parking spot right out front for easy access, a wide selection of baked goods and fresh fruit, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with melted cheese and real bacon bits that’s considered a staple.
