Ask any Fairfield regular – the pho enthusiast at the farmers market, the bánh mì devotee in line at the post office, or the family debating spring rolls over chess at the park – and they’ll passionately defend their go-to spot. But we’re not here for the obvious. We’ve hunted down the bowls, rolls, and plates that truly transport you. Here are seven standouts that do more than just serve food.
SaiGon Nho
$ | (918) 808-0468 | WEBSITE

SaiGon Nho’s grilled chicken banh mi was the spark to the guide you are now reading.
We remember having one of these savory, satisfying sandwiches on a stroll through downtown Fairfield and naively thinking, ‘Wow, why aren’t there more authentic Vietnamese options in this area?’ quickly followed by, ‘If we emptied our wallet right now, how many more of these could we buy?’ Thankfully, the prices were reasonable enough that we didn’t need to raid our savings, and we’ve been able to enjoy many more without breaking the bank.
These delicious banh mi also led us to try their pho tai, one of the best dishes in Fairfield. SaiGon Nho recently opened in a clean, charming space too, and now works great for both some to-go banh mi and a nice sit-down meal with those lovely teacups and saucers.
Saigon Phở
$ | (707) 451-2548 | WEBSITE

What do you get when you combine tender beef and aromatic broth? The taste of Vietnam coming to life, but also Saigon Phở’s signature pho. Only available at their Vacaville location, this pho isn’t your standard thin broth, instead resembling a rich, deeply flavored elixir. Inside it’s filled with fresh ingredients that go nicely with a squeeze of lime. Looking back, we did find ourselves wanting extra herbs for this, but the bowl was empty before we could fully formulate that thought.
Pho Lee Hoa Phat 7
$ | (707) 426-9999 | WEBSITE

Known for its comforting Vietnamese classics, Pho Lee Hoa Phat 7 has been a reliable choice since it opened its spacious dining area. While there are several different dishes we enjoy here, the standout is their chicken pho, which is served with generous portions. The rich broth, tender chicken, and fresh herbs are perfectly complemented by a side of delicious egg rolls, which is our favorite kind of starter. It’s purely satisfying, like rediscovering a favorite cozy sweater you forgot you had.
Pho Saigon
$ | (707) 422-4383 | WEBSITE

Tucked away in Fairfield, Pho Saigon’s tai chin pho immediately whisked us back to the bustling street stalls of Saigon. While we’re still lamenting that the best thing to come out of 2025 was another superhero movie, that rich, savory broth never fails to lift our spirits more than any blockbuster ever could. And such was the case with this bowl, where the tender slices of beef are perfectly complemented by that deeply flavorful broth.
It’s a truly satisfying combination that we’re grateful Pho Saigon continues to simmer for the community.
Vương Phở 94533
$ | (707) 434-8808 | WEBSITE

If you’re headed to Vương Phở 94533 in Fairfield, odds are you’re going for their outstanding rare steak pho with wontons, refreshing boba drinks, or exceptional service. Completely understandable.
But if you’ve seen their iced honeydew or iced mango boba and always said to yourself, ‘Maybe I’ll try one next time,’ then we’re here to jiggle your face like Adam Sandler does to his third-grade classmate in Billy Madison and repeatedly whisper, ‘Get one.’ Generously portioned, these boba drinks are made using fresh, made-to-order ingredients that include real fruit purees. And yes, they’re exactly as good as they sound.
B&B Boba & Banh Mi
$ | (707) 379-2625 | WEBSITE

There’s a case to be made that B&B Boba & Banh Mi has the best Vietnamese sandwiches in Fairfield. While we’re not here to settle that, we will suggest you try their Grilled Pork Banh Mi with a Thai Tea with Boba the next time you’re in town or heading to Tahoe. Even without extra toppings, it’s still somehow both fresh and flavorful, capturing the perfect balance of the ideal banh mi. We like to pair it with spring rolls and have a feeling you will, too.
You can also pat yourself on the back for enjoying a quick and tasty meal today, even if it arrived in a casual, fun atmosphere with Boba plushies on the walls.
Pho Lee Hoa Phat 4
$ | (707) 452-8829 | WEBSITE

Home to some of the best pho in Fairfield, Pho Lee Hoa Phat 4 had the brilliant and very Vietnamese idea to serve that broth with a generous fried garlic topping. Was it as significant as discovering the perfect pho recipe? Well, we’re not here to comment on that, but what we can say is that the #47 and #17 Pho Tai that are served as refreshing options are a perfect complement, enhancing rather than overpowering this cozy spot’s great flavor.
