Wine bars are essential—glasses pour with stories, sommeliers know your palate better than a second cousin, and they serve as the unofficial meeting place for neighbors to find common ground over a bold Cabernet and artisanal cheese. Just got promoted? How about a celebratory flight to toast your success. The week dragged on? Share a bottle with a stranger eager to unwind. No matter the occasion, there’s a wine bar to match—and we’ve found the best in Lewisville.
Grape Vine Springs Winery
$ | (817) 329-1011 | WEBSITE

You might assume that a wine bar focused on sweet options would feel cloying or one-dimensional. And at many chain establishments or generic tasting rooms, that would likely be the case. But at Grape Vine Springs Winery, it’s quite the opposite. The sweet wines are balanced and approachable, the staff is genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere feels like a gathering among friends.
If you’re not there for the wine, there’s Thursday game night with customizable charcuterie boards (vegetarian-friendly too), and a warm, welcoming vibe that makes even newcomers feel like regulars. It’s not a stuffy, formal winery—it’s a charming spot where the experience matters as much as the pour.

When it comes to the menu, go for a glass of their fine wine, the beautifully prepared charcuterie board, the standout Brussel sprouts salad, and briefly consider ordering the ricotta cheese dip or artichoke dip to share with your table.

You’ve had enough of crowded brunch spots and overpriced cocktails. Head to Jane – Southlake instead. Just be careful, because in a place where the coffee is exceptional, and there’s live music on girls’ night out, your chances of planning a return visit are at an all-time high.

Volstead
$$ | (817) 912-1074 | WEBSITE

The vibe at this Lewisville speakeasy is part-hidden gem and part-cozy lounge, so we don’t understand why it’s named after a random law from the Prohibition era (it’s true). There’s plenty of food on the menu at the cash-only spot, with rotating drink specials, like $14.50 for an Old Fashioned and $9.50 for an Espresso Martini. They have a great atmosphere, so of course, you’ll occasionally hear the manager stopping by to check on you.
JĀKÖ Cocina y Agave

JĀKÖ Cocina y Agave is exactly what it sounds like: a vibrant spot where everyone feels the Tulum vibe and margaritas are $12. In a lot of ways, it’s similar to other Lewisville date-night destinations—a lively DJ, thoughtful touches like purse hooks, and a beautiful place to grab a birthday dinner with a partner (or celebrate with friends). The Cocina y Agave spot is perfect for a relaxed evening, and there’s no stuffy dress code.
So show up ready for fun, order the quesadilla del marcado, and be impressed by the fact that you’ll get friendly, attentive service from knowledgeable servers and a professional bartender.
Old Town Wine House
$$ | (214) 222-7900 | WEBSITE

Old Town Wine House is a typical cozy wine bar. And by that, we mean there’s a 100% likelihood that you’ll hear someone claim their favorite Napa Valley winemaker is their second cousin within 10 minutes. It’s a little pricey, but the staff is so lovely that you’ll leave in a good mood—like you spent the evening in a wine-themed self-help book. They have charcuterie boards, appetizers, and all the usual wine bar suspects.
It’s all okay, so just stick to the true selling point of this place: live music coming from the speakers and forming a lasting bond with a stranger over half-off bottles of wine on Wednesdays and unlikely, estranged winemaker cousin stories.
Postino Southlake
$$ | (817) 522-1220 | WEBSITE

Postino Southlake is where the neighborhood heads to celebrate a birthday, be surrounded by cozy low-key decor, order a Bruschetta Board, and ignore it for the conversation. The menu here is far more creative than you might expect at a wine bar, but it’s all pretty skippable (except for the Chicken & Mozzarella). Go for any zero-proof cocktail and the heavy attention-to-detail ratio for a shock to your palate that reminds you the rest of the world exists, including whatever you ordered.
Goodfellas Pizza Pasta Vino

This cozy Lewisville spot has lots of comfortable booths and friendly chatter. But it’s also the kind of place you want to visit when there’s no rush for a quiet table and a $6 house wine. While you’re here, you should also order a meatball Parmesan sub and a solid slice of extra pepperoni that’s ideal when you need something to satisfy your hunger while waiting for your pasta or garlic bread to arrive.
